Therapy has always seemed like a waste of time to me because you’re only talking about yourself to one person. Besides, it’s obnoxious to complain about all the psychological damage my parents caused me when I’m well aware that I caused them far more. But when I heard that a ton of successful writers, actors and producers in Los Angeles were getting career help from therapist Barry Michels and his mentor, psychiatrist Phil Stutz, I knew I had to see them.

From 2020 to 2022 they worked tirelessly through a pandemic. This year they deftly navigated their way through the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Throughout they faced and overcame an economic climate defined by ballooning inflation, soaring interest rates and the threat of a recession. The Nigerian filmmaker also went on to thank the cast and crew of the feature title for the work that they did in producing it.

After several attempts to get into the University of Lagos, at age 18 she left the country altogether and settled in New York, a city that will bring her multiple creative opportunities.
