It’s called A History of Violence, and there’s plenty of that, but the movie could also be called The Mystery of Sex, for two scenes shared by Maria Bello and Viggo Mortensen. In the first, Bello, the doting Midwestern wife and mom, dons her old cheerleader togs for some playful whoopee with Mortensen, her placid, stalwart hubby. In the second, all hell breaks loose on the stairs of their home. The sex is angry, feral, more an act of fury than of love, and she might be doing it with a different, more dangerous man.
A TV licence is the fee you pay monthly or yearly to receive broadcast services or own a TV set. So, if you have a TV set in your home, it’s a must that you pay your license fee as and when due. In the United Kingdom, Ireland and even South Africa, citizens pay this fee to access broadcast services and authenticate their ownership of their television sets. In the UK, a TV licence currently costs £159 per year for both homes and businesses, while in Ireland, it costs €160 a year.

Nvidia’s GTX 1080’s warp nacelles are barely spooled up, and the company’s already unveiling something mightier.
Meet the Nvidia Titan X, not to be confused with the company’s last-gen GTX Titan X, though Nvidia’s attempt to wriggle around incrementing the nomenclature (Y? Z?) is bound to cause some confusion. It’s due out August 2, with a launch price of $1,200.
Like the GTX 1080, which rolled out on May 27, the new Titan X is based on Nvidia’s Pascal architecture.
I was a brash teenager who could sometimes be a hothead. I was also always confident of my malformed opinions. On the other hand, this senior colleague was eons ahead of my Hip-Hop knowledge. He should never have even given my opinions the light of day - but for some reason, he always liked listening to me. Shout-out to him. Back to our 808s and Heartbreaks discussion that day.

On a chilly night in February, an exhilarating new arts institution called the Olivia Foundation opened its doors in the Mexico City neighborhood of Roma Norte. Set in a neoclassical townhouse from the early 1900s, the Olivia Foundation draws on the private collection of a Mexico City-native couple who, for the sake of discretion, named the project after one of their eight dogs, a long-haired dachshund.
Dodi al Fayed, the rakish Egyptian-born heir to the billion-dollar Harrods fortune, seemed an unlikely consort for Britain’s fairy princess. An unreconstructed playboy, his taste in books seemed to run mainly to a little black one that once contained names such as Brooke Shields and Tawny Kitaen. His past was littered with women he had romanced and rejected, as well as with creditors still hoping to be paid for meals consumed and lodging used long ago.
However, equating colleagues with friends can be a misstep, one that overlooks the fundamental differences between workplace shenanigans and genuine friendship. The foundation of workplace relationships Workplace relationships are primarily built on mutual goals and the shared mission of the company. The camaraderie experienced within these confines is often a byproduct of working towards common objectives, not a reflection of personal affinity or choice. ADVERTISEMENT
While you may share laughs, coffee breaks, and even personal tidbits, these interactions are facilitated by the workplace environment rather than a deliberate choice to form a bond outside of professional obligations.
In her new novel The Wonder, Emma Donoghue (Room) again tells the story of a woman struggling to protect a vulnerable child. Anna O’Donnell is a Catholic girl in 1850s Ireland who has not eaten since her 11th birthday, four months before the story begins. She says she lives on “manna from heaven” and drinks only water. And she seems to be mostly fine. Believers say it’s a miracle; doubters say it’s a hoax.
Mikko Mäkelä’s somber feature, which premiered in Sundance's world cinema dramatic competition, ends up simplifying its lead despite its intimate approach.
